Time before Genesis
As all of you have come to know, I have decided to leave the comforts of working life, the date has been finalised at 22 December.
To be honest, at this stage there isint anything anycompany could have done to keep me employed but if there were; my previous employer and friends @ work would have been it.
For that I thank them, for accomodating my silly indulgences and for teaching me the POWER of their ways.
I think a lot of people would think I am crazy mix of unseriousness and idealism when I tell them I am quitting, but just as there are conventional fools, there are eccentric genius and there is method in my madness.
I have been proclaiming for the longest time that we as programmers with the powers to create in a web that is only going to be more influential are the GODs of the New Universe.
In order to be credible I have to live that creed, of a life that does not fear struggle, that is seriously committed in a vision but yet quirky enough to do the things just for the sake of it.
That enjoyment is to be had each day not only for it's comforts and certainties but also for the struggles, possiblities, failures and truimphs.
And life is about meaning, meaning which would otherwise be inexistent without passion and passion is what will pull us through till the end.
But most importantly, I quit now because I dont have a lot of time. My urgency is the direct result of knowing I would have to one day come back on track.
My parents are not getting younger. My children deserve a father not only with the financial means but also the physical engergy. My better half should enjoy the better part of my companionship.
And I know that if I wait a few more years my life would be one of could have beens.
Lastly, I would like to thank my parents who gave me their blessing and unconditional, cross categorial support and for making the impossible, surmountable.
I will be posting on a weekly basis, on the performance of the new start up. Our direction and progress so do check back!
